Safety during and after an accidentRestraint systems attempt to minimize the effects
of an accident. Only a couple of milliseconds elapse
between the moment of the collision and the activation
of the airbags, and these milliseconds often decide
between the life or death of the vehicle occupants.
Within this fraction of a second, the airbag electronics
must evaluate a variety of sensor signals and, via an
accident-severity forecast, trigger the restraint devices
to be activated – seat-belt tensioners and airbags.
We offer you applications plus the development of
functions and software in the field of airbag sensors
– primarily for special projects, small series or special
applications. In collaboration with competent partners
(crash-test laboratories, structure developers, airbag
suppliers) we can additionally offer you the development
of a complete restraint system, from the electronics via
the system engineering right up to the selection of the
components (suppliers).
The components and the basic functions are taken from
the product portfolio of Robert Bosch GmbH. Additional
functions can be developed and integrated to your speci-
fications, so that these are ideally representable with the
sensorics and the actuators of the systems involved.
